153 (One Fifty Three) is a contemporary reimagining of the traditional Portuguese family dining experience. Inspired by the culture and traditions of the Azores and the emotional connection between food, family, and community, the brand identity blends the nostalgic feel of Portugal with modernity.

Named after the address of my grandparent’s home, 153’s visual identity is a tribute to the heart of family gatherings, where authentic Portuguese meals were made with love. The inclusion of archival family photography is a direct homage to that home, honoring the people and place that inspired the brand’s foundation. Paired with hand-drawn vector illustrations and elements of Portuguese art- such as azulejos, or ceramic tiles- keeps the past in mind while speaking to a new generation.

At its core, 153 is more than a restaurant concept. It’s a tribute to family, a love letter to Portuguese culture, and a new take on what a Portuguese dining experience can look and feel like.
