In Memoriam
DEC 2024 | EXPERIMENTAL BOOKBINDING
The act of recalling a memory is never a stable process—it shifts, distorts, and fades over time—reshaping what we think we remember. This project aims to explore this concept through experimental bookbinding.
Using the flag book structure, altered images of family members—some who have passed—are cut and rearranged to serve as a visual representation for the distortion of recollection.
A passage from my personal memoir sits on the reverse, describing the experience of grief while visiting my now-unoccupied grandparent’s home which holds endless childhood memories.
